Some games designate the double-0 (0-0) domino as counting for 25 or 50 points, making it a domino that you very much want to avoid holding in your hand at the end of the game. To play you must place a matching domino next to any of the four exposed ends.In other words, answering a double-6 domino requires a player to have three dominoes with 6-pip denominations. Usually, additional tiles can only be placed agains the long side of a double. Often, a double is placed cross-ways in the layout, straddling the end of the tile that it is connected to. (Some rules forbid drawing from the discard pile others allow it only. An end is open when it has no other tile connected to it. In play each player in turn draws one card from the top of the stock or the discard pile. In another rule variation, a double domino must be answered by a "chicken foot"-placing three dominos on both ends and on the center of the double domino. Playing Subsequent Tiles In most domino games, only the 'open' ends of a layout are open for play.If the drawn domino matches an eligible train, it may be played immediately. If they have no matching domino, they must draw from the bone pile and place a marker at the end of their train, rendering it public.
